The Croatian Museum Society has announced the yearly public tender for submitting proposals for awarding the Annual Awards of the Croatian Museum Society 2017, within 9 categories (exhibition, permanent exhibition, publishing project, restoration of museum material, research work that resulted in exhibition or in professional publication, realized documentation and information program, pedagogical-educational program, marketing-propaganda program and inter-museum cooperation).
In category of the publishing project the Evaluation jury decided to award the project of the Regional Museum of Poreč – Museo del territorio parentino ‘Water Guide: Water Supply in the History of Porec’ (Book that saves water) by Elena Uljancic, whose design and concept were signed by Studio Sonda. In the category of the best research project that resulted in an exhibition or a professional publication, the award went to the monograph ‘The Austrian-Venetian border in Istria‘, edited by Dr. sc. Tatjana Bradara, published by the Archaeological Museum of Istria, whose design is also signed by Studio Sonda
This award aims to acknowledge, valorize and encourage the work of museum employees and institutions in categories covering a wide spectrum of museum activities. The awards were given during the ceremony at the Mimara Museum in Zagreb on October 30th.
