The solution of the visual identity for the Music festival held in Rijeka which takes place in an abandoned cult factory named Hartera (where the Festival’s name derives from) lies in the symbol of a ‘paper pin’, designed to become an independent symbol, as well as the base to become a mascot/pop icon. The value of the graphic shape lies in its duality: it is neutral enough to be used as a two-dimensional symbol, as well as a three-dimensional independent character that gains its meaning interacting with information/environment… The paper pin motif conveys:
1) A visual link with the name Hartera (paper pin-paper-paper factory)
2) A public notice: when pinned, paper becomes public, which is in tune with the festival that aims at a broad target group
3) Something important is highlighted by means of a small cloud putting in this way focus on the festival.
