The poster was created for the purpose of promoting the Festival of used books in Poreč in 2009 organized by the Poreč City Library. The concept derives from the fact that a considerable amount of posters of last year’s festival remained in the stocks. Since this is a festival based on elements of recycling, we decided that the posters have to be recycled themselves giving therefore direct value to something that was actually discarded. So last year’s dusty and forgotten posters were painted over and turned into new ones. Worn elements were emphasized and the details of the old posters were left visible on purpose. Symbol of a personal approach and of absence of institutionalism was represented by human handwriting which was used instead of computer graphics.
