
Joseph Binder Design Award is named after one of the founders of the Designaustria institution, today the third oldest design organization in Europe. The award has existed since 1996 with the aim of highlighting excellent works in the field of visual communication and presenting their authors. This year’s award ceremony was held in November in Vienna, and Sonda was given the distinction in the packaging design category, for the design of Piquentum wine label – the bottle through which nature speaks out.
At this year’s edition, under the motto of ‘Colour and Form’, 876 works from 38 countries were registered, out of which 71 won awards and prizes. In this occasion the Piquentum label has also been exhibited in the prestigious Gallery Designforum, which is part of the Vienna’s Museum district – Museumsquartier, and it has been presented in this year’s ‘Joseph Binder – Color and Form’ catalog.
