The most valuable award for outdoor advertising
The poster made for Casanovafest 2010, love and erotic festival in Vrsar, is the best designed large-sized poster and the winner of the most valuable award for outdoor advertising in Croatia – Outward 2010. In September, since the competition started, agencies, design studios and companies put forward 51 works in five categories. Apart from billboards, that compete in a total of three categories, city light posters and megaboards also competed for annual awards. The pre-selection expert jury chose 23 finalists out of the overall works presented. Seven winners were chosen among them in the final selection; the best three billboards, one city light, one megaboard, one billboard and city light series and the winners in five categories. Boris Ljubičić, designer and jury president, stated: “My opinion is that the prizes go to the best ones. The third runner-up has a witty text (We are all Homosapiens/Publicis), the second is not lagging behind with its humor (Gavella hanger: hang yourself/Studio Cuculić) and not to mention the winner (Casanova Love&Erotic Festival/Studio Sonda)… As a professed designer I wish I could see more graphic design in public places, like Casanova…”
